Pillsbury & Coleman Secures Funds To Rebuild Client’s Home

Managing partner Ryan Opgenorth successfully represented a homeowner to recover the benefits of his homeowners insurance policy following a tree fall that decimated his home. The insurance carrier grossly underestimated the repair costs relying on estimates from third parties who either have never built a home or did not work in the region where the home was being repaired. The carrier also refused to pay additional living expenses that were due under the policy, despite representing to the insured that those benefits would continue for as long as it took to rebuild the home.

After months of back-and-forth negotiations with the carrier, Pillsbury & Coleman was able to secure a confidential settlement to fund the full rebuild of the home and compensate the insured for his additional living expenses. The settlement was a victory for our client who, prior to engaging Pillsbury & Coleman, had endured unreasonably low settlement offers and significant delay of his insurance claim.
